Would Liberals Favor Strong Governmental Control Over Religion?

Since liberals generally hate Christians, would liberals favor the Federal government taking control of churches and force them into accepting abortion, performing gay marriages and prosecute churches that preach against things liberals support? Also, would liberals favor forcing Catholic and other faith based hospitals and faithful medical professionals to perform abortions?
