How can I make my Fire Eel eat anything else but river shrimp?

Well I had this problem with my ropefish where it would only eat ghost shrimp, and would not eat blood worms. I would say just wait, and if it seems happy just leave it be. After about 6 months in the tank my ropefish began excepting bloodworms, so I ume yours will too.
