Should i disclose my drug use history to my psychiatrist?

my parents have lately been talking about setting up something with my therapist to test me for adhd in the past on a somewhat intermittent basis i have used a wide variety of amphetamines to help me write a paper easier to stay up all night or to just feel happy..they even talked with my therapist about the option of prescribing them if i dont have adhd or add just because my grades are so out of sync with my potential. if this talking becomes more of a reality..should i tell my psychiatrist about my past drug abuse..how would this affect his decision to prescribe me amphetamines?
