What is a good used car for a 17 year old that is good in snow?

Get a chevy 4x4 any model you will never get stuck with the right snow tires. Pick up some thing cheap and have your winter driving needs taking care of. Or buy a jeep old ww2 or current models will work as well American made. Old VW Baja bug works well also with stocks engine great in snow weather. I would stay away from expensive rides for snow driving. This is because damaging salt, apex chemical de- icert and sand. This will destroy your cars body and paint job overtime.. Plus get in a wreck and high payout of pocket for repairs. That`s my opinion.Good luck.
