Can i filing abandonment charges?

my ex has never layed eyes on my son and never will he lives in florida and i live in michigan. he has a new girlfriend and i havent talked to him in ages last time i talked to him he said he wanted to give his rights up or do anything to get out of paying the child support.. can i file abandonment charges on him he cant give his rights up unless im married theres no way for him to get out of it and i want him out of my life in in constant fear if i do something or say something hes going to find out and do something against me im just tired of it and want to live my life with out him in it we have a show cause hearing this month but im just wondering if theres anything ican do before that.. please someone let me know thanks
